Nextbrowser offers two distinct agent modes to best suit your needs: Fast and Smart.

What’s the Difference?

You can choose the mode that fits the complexity and requirements of your task.
  • Fast Mode (Default)
    • This is the standard mode, available to all users and selected by default
    • It is powered by the Gemini 2.5 Flash model to handle tasks efficiently.
    • Any tasks created before this feature was introduced will automatically use Fast mode.
  • Smart Mode (Premium)
    • This is an exclusive feature for users with a paid subscription.
    • It uses the powerful GPT-5 model and our custom AI Agentic task execution hub, designed for more complex tasks.
    • “Access to Smart Agent mode” is listed as a benefit for paid plans on the pricing page

How to Use It

The Agent mode selector is located next to the “Run” button. The previous manual model selection options have been removed and replaced by this new selector. For All Users
  • When you land on the homepage, “Fast” mode is automatically selected.

For Free Users
  • If you hover over the “Smart” option, a tooltip will appear with a clickable “Upgrade” link.
  • If you select “Smart,” a pop-up modal will appear explaining that a subscription is required.
  • From this pop-up, you can click “Learn more” to open documentation about the feature in a new tab or “Upgrade now” to open the pricing page.
  • Clicking outside the modal will close it, and the selection will remain on “Fast”.
For Paid Users Users with a paid subscription can freely select “Smart” mode from the dropdown without seeing a pop-up modal.

Use Fast Mode when:

  • You need reliable, everyday performance. Fast mode is the standard experience and is selected by default for all users.
  • You prefer efficiency for standard tasks. This mode is powered by the Gemini 2.5 Flash model.

Use Smart Mode when:

  • Your task requires more advanced capabilities. Smart mode is a premium feature that uses the more powerful GPT-5 model and our custom task execution hub.
